OUR MESSAGE

Our message is Jesus. Why? Because outside of His life, death, and resurrection there is no other eternal hope for people. He is the ultimate answer for the problems that plague the heart. The overarching story of the entire Bible is the grace of God expressed through the life, death, and resurrection of God’s only Son, Jesus. The Lord loves each of us so much that He gave His only Son to make the ultimate provision and payment for the sin of all humanity. Jesus once shared these words with a person who approached Him about salvation, saying:

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
— John 3:17

It is something to marvel when we reflect on the true and beautiful fact that God so loved the world that He sent His only Son to save us from sin! And God’s intention was clearly not to condemn people but to Personally provide a way for us to be saved from the very thing creating distance from God. The love He expressed towards us is wonderfully consistent with Who He has always been – gracious, compassionate, slow to anger, and abundant in loving-kindness (see the Old Testament prophets). How again do we know these beautiful descriptors exemplify God’s amazing love for us? The Apostle Paul wrote:

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
— Romans 5:8

God shows us the depths of His love by sending Jesus Christ to this earth on a mission to die for the sin of the world. Jesus stepped into time (God in human flesh) and lived a perfect life. He then died on the cross to pay the penalty for humanity’s sin. After three days, Jesus was raised to life by the power of God. The Bible tells us that through Jesus, we can be forgiven of our sin, reconciled into a right relationship with God, and experience eternal life. Salvation is available now for all people who will believe in Jesus and place their faith and trust wholeheartedly in Him as the Savior of the world. When this happens, a person is saved from the consequences of sin, and relationship with our Father in Heaven is enjoyed on so many levels! This is the thriving Christian life God wants for His children. He has always wanted relationship with us, but sin would have kept that from happening without Jesus.
