OUR BELIEFS

What We Believe

  • There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and inerrant in the original languages.

  • In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal return in power and glory.

  • That the lost and sinful (all people) must be saved, and that the only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

  • In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

  • In the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved, that they who are saved unto the resurrection of life and that are unsaved unto the resurrection of judgment.

  • In the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

What We Emphasize

  • The grace of God through Christ.

  • Presenting God’s Word in a loving and relevant manner.

  • Doctrinal balance and integrity.

  • Equipping people to follow the lifestyle and ministry of Jesus.

  • Worship which is informal and inspirational.

  • Loving and accepting people as they are; without prejudice.

What We Hold To

  • The continuance today of the diversities of spiritual gifts as found in 1 Corinthians 12.

  • Simplicity in church governance rather than a complex bureaucracy.

  • A dependence upon the Holy Spirit to lead, rather than fleshly promotion.

  • The pre-millennial return of Christ for His waiting church.

  • The teaching of the Word of God in such a way that it can be applied to life as beneficial towards a growing spiritual maturity.

  • The two New Testament ordinances of water baptism and the Lord’s supper; these ordinances are observed in obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ as acts of love and devotion, and are not considered to be necessary for our salvation.
